Terms of Service

The simple rules for shopping with Mulu, online and in our boutiques.
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use mulujewelry.ca or place an order with Mulu Jewelry (“Mulu”, “we”). Purchases made in a boutique may also be covered by the terms on your receipt. By using the site or placing an order you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. Nothing here limits the rights you have under Ontario’s Consumer Protection Act or other consumer protection law.
2. Our pieces and images
We describe and photograph our jewellery as accurately as we can. Natural gemstones vary in colour, size and inclusions, and screens show colour differently, so your piece may differ slightly from the images.
Renderings, 3D previews and images created in the Design Studio are concepts to help you imagine a piece. They are not photographs of a finished item, and the final piece is confirmed with you before it is made.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are in Canadian dollars. Applicable taxes and delivery are calculated at checkout. Payment is taken when you place your order, through our secure payment providers. If a price or description is shown in error, we may cancel the affected order and refund you in full, even after confirmation.
4. Orders and availability
Your order is accepted when we confirm it by email. Pieces are subject to availability; if something cannot be supplied, we will contact you and refund what you paid for it. We may decline or cancel orders we reasonably believe are fraudulent.
5. Delivery and boutique pickup
We deliver within Canada. Delivery options and costs are shown at checkout based on your postal code. For pickup, we reserve your pieces at a boutique that has them; please wait until your order is marked ready before visiting, and bring identification. Ownership and risk pass to you on delivery or collection. See Delivery & collection.
6. Returns, exchanges and sizing
For a return, exchange or resizing, contact a Mulu boutique with your order number and our team will explain the options for your piece. Because custom, engraved and personalised pieces, including name necklaces and made-to-order rings, are made just for you, they may not be eligible for return unless they are faulty; we confirm any conditions before you order. See Returns & exchanges.
7. Custom pieces, repairs and appointments
Prices for custom designs are estimates until we confirm the final specification with you. Repair quotes are estimates until your piece has been examined; we contact you before doing extra work. Please collect finished repairs promptly. Appointments can be changed or cancelled by contacting the boutique.
8. Gift cards
Mulu gift cards do not expire and have no fees. They can be used online and in our boutiques, cannot be exchanged for cash except where the law requires it, and are treated like cash: please keep your code private. Tax is applied when the card is spent, not when it is bought. Check a balance at Gift card balance.
9. Promotions and promo codes
Unless an offer says otherwise, a promo code is personal to the customer it was issued to, can be used once, is valid until the expiry date and time we give you, cannot be combined with other offers, does not apply to gift cards, and has no cash value. We may cancel codes that were issued in error or used in breach of these terms. Offers may change or end at any time without affecting orders already placed.
10. Mulu Experience Points
Points are earned on eligible purchases as described in the programme at the time of purchase. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and are reversed when a purchase is refunded. We may change the programme with reasonable notice.
11. Design Studio and your content
When you upload photos or ideas, you confirm you have the right to use them. You keep ownership of what you upload, and you allow us to use it to create your concepts, answer your request and make your piece. Please do not upload anything unlawful or anyone else’s private information.
12. Our content
The Mulu name, logo, designs, photographs and text on this site belong to Mulu or our licensors. You may view and share them for personal, non-commercial use, but not copy, sell or reproduce our designs.
13. Liability
We work to keep the site accurate and available but cannot promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, Mulu is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, and our total responsibility for an order is limited to the amount you paid for it. This does not limit any liability that cannot be limited by law.
14. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. We may update these terms; the version in force when you place an order applies to that order. Questions? Email info@mulujewelry.com, use our contact page, or visit a Mulu boutique.
